Who Are We?
Let us tell you

Born and raised in River Edge, New Jersey, Jim knew that working with his hands and following in his great-grandfather's footsteps to create beautiful wood pieces that could be appreciated for generations would be more than a hobby for him one day.
After serving his country in the Navy for over 22 years as a Sea-Bee, moving to Iowa, raising three children with his wife of almost 50 years, and retiring from a full-time job in a microbiology lab, he decided now was the time to follow his passion and begin creating unique hardwood serving pieces and furniture.
Jim uses local natural deadfall hardwoods creating a different and unique piece each time.
Jim loves using fractal burning or butcherblock patterning to bring out the beautiful and unique patterns in each cut of wood. Highlighting the different patterns when using an epoxy resin for his fractal patterns, then coating with a food safe treatment.
We invite you to find a piece that speaks to you. Look through our gallery page and find a piece that you or someone you know will love.
